Mr Mean has just finished his first meeting with GM Jason Brent, and is walking down the hallway with his kit and luggage when he comes across a guy a fair bit taller and bigger than himself. The big guy comes towards Mr Mean.
Hey, I gather you're a newcomer here, right?
Right
Cool. Welcome to Hard Knocks. My name's Big Bobby Dunn, but you can call me Bobby (shakes hand strongly, almost crushing Mr Mean's hand in the process).
I'm one of the main guys around here, and leader of the group REVOLUTION, the main ass-kicking group on this roster.
Cool, thanks for the welcome Bobby. The name's Jeremy, but my stage name is Mr Mean.
Aha, yes, I remember that name being mentioned around the place. Well, it's finally nice to meet you in person. Come, I'll give you a little tour of the place and take you to your dorm room.
(BBD assumes the manner of a tour guide and shows Mr Mean around the Arena facilities)
Here we have our gym which was recently expanded and upgraded to include more stuff for individuals to be able to do their own routines ... on the left there is a practice ring where we work on moves with our trainers or fellow wrestlers in stables ... on the right is the door to the change and locker rooms. (Entering the locker rooms) This area of the locker room is REVOLUTION only. Anyone who is not a member of the group and is caught tampering in our area will be SEVERELY prosecuted! (Gives a mean glare and slams fist hard into open hand)... And over here are the dorms.
Do all the wrestlers live here?
Not all of them. Some are lucky enough to be locals here or have either relocated here with their families and found a house. But for the rest of us who come from overseas or different parts of the country, this is our home.
These dorms over here belong to the Revolution group. (Opens the door to his room) As you can see, we pride ourselves on keeping our rooms neat and tidy!
Hmm, I'm impressed.
And here's your dorm.
Nice. Thanks for showing me round, Bobby, and I look forward to working alongside you and the other members of Revolution.
Well, I'll give you some time to settle in first. Also we have to actually see what ability you have. We'll be the ultimate judges of whether you are umm worthy enough to be part of our elite group. Anyways, I need to rush off for a team meeting, so I'll leave you to set up your room. If ever you need help on anything, just knock or slide a note under my dorm door. See ya round. (waves and rushes off)
Thanks again for everything! (fumbles around pockets for door keys) So, this will be my home for the next half a year or so...
Enters a sparsely furnished room with a single bed, large window with a view to the park outside, cupboards, wash basin and cabinet, and a desk with drawers with a table lamp.
Right. Let's get started making this room feel a little more like home. (unpacks luggage)
